Namaste Mi Gente! I hope you all are enjoying the influx of energy coming from our Sun this week! I too am experiencing a fast shift into higher gear. I am being reminded that shifts do not always happen smoothly. Sometimes grinding, loud feedback and a whiplashing jolt forward is the reality we experience. I am working on assimalating the upgrades as the quickening happens. New inspiration, ideas, connections and clients are showing up at an ever-increasing pace and right on time. Thank you for showing up to read this post! |
Today 6 years ago this photo was take of my yoga training group at Niagara Falls, NY. I had titled it "Random Indian poses in front of our Yoga Expression." When this memory photo came into my newsfeed, I had to repost it as I laughed to myself remembering the intense days and months of my yoga training, a practice that was borderline torture. It involved bi-daily 90 minute Bikram series classes in a 105 degree yoga room in a 100 year old house in the middle of July.
The same day this memory showed up, so did my new Yoga Wheel, the epitomy of yoga props. I had another good laugh at the irony. The studio where I trained never allowed props and referred to them as "yoga crutches." In the six months I lived and worked in the 100 year old house/yoga studio in Buffalo, New York, I never saw one yoga block or strap, yoga blanket or bolster.
A wave of guilty pleasure rolled over me as I opened the package containing my new Yoga Wheel. I was surprised with the high quality of this new yoga buzz toy. Today I was being shown how much I had evolved from my Evolation Yoga TT days. As I introduced my students to this new way to play, I realized the impact of having a foundation in a serious, disciplined practice- balanced in the joy of self expression, play and laughter.
My wish is that by opening more into my purpose, following my heart and the guidance from the Divine Creator, that I am available to fully show-up and be in-joyed, sharing the journey of surrendering into joy with others.
humbly yours,
LoKi
